Development Objective

All young people are empowered organised and active citizens, recognised and actively contributing to a democratic and peaceful society.

Programme Objective

  • Short term 3 year – The young women and men we target are organised to participate in decision making processes, are claiming their rights and meet with each other, across communities.  Our targeted youth leaders have the capacity to accept diversity and non discrimination.
  • Long term 10 year – The young women and men we target are organised and empowered to participate in decision making processes, are claiming and accessing their rights and meet with each other, across communities. Our targeted youth leaders have the capacity to accept, promote and work with diversity and non discrimination.

Results

  • Targeted partner organisations are strengthened, member based organisations, advocating for the rights of young people.
  • An increased number of cross community Initiatives, improving contact between young people.
  • Kosovo Government and institutions are lobbied and informed of European and regional policy initiatives
  • Improved understanding of non formal education and community youth work in government and among other stakeholders (2009)– leading to a harmonisation of youth worker training from local qualifications to University level qualifications in order to support improvement in the provision of youth services (2010 – 2011)
