The value of the voluntary work is greater than just showing solidarity. It presents greater form of non-formal learning that stimulates:

Personal development - Volunteering is an opportunity to develop personal potentials. It can help you to develop skills and responsibility for working in team, self-confidence etc. It is an opportunity for making friendships, gaining communication skills and building relationship with different people on different levels.
