Basis in community youth work 2009

In 2009, the Course was implemented in three municipalities Kumanovo, Kavadarci and Tearce with the collaboration of the local civic organizations: Sovet za preventiva protiv maloletnicka delikvencija – SPPMD from Kavadarci, Humanitarno zdruzenie – Majka from Kumanovo, Centar za edukacija i razvoj – CED from Tearce, in the frame of the Proaktiv project, supported by Pestalozzi Children Foundation.

The participants had a chance to implement their gained knowledge from the Course in direct work with youth as part of the practical placement. More than 400 young people from Kumanovo, Kavadarci and Tearce were included in the practical placement held with the implementation of methods of non-formal education. All the practical placements were narrowed towards personal and professional development of youth and creating positive change in their communities.

Communication, cooperation, identifying problems and their solving, self-awareness, respect for differences, security, tolerance. These are the skills and knowledge which I gained on this course. In future I will try to raise the level of knowledge and awareness among students, through non-formal education and organizing educational activities, debates and workshops in my school – Gabrijela Boshkov, psychologist

On 12th of December, at the conference hall in the City of Skopje, it was held the giving certificate ceremony for the second generation of 66 students of the Course.

Basis in community youth work 2008

In 2008, Center for non-formal education TRIAGOLNIK in cooperation with the Municipalities Kumanovo and Kavadarci, has accomplished to implement this course, for the first time, with teachers from primary schools, professors from secondary schools and members from non-goverenmental organizations from Kumanovo and Kavadarci, in the frame of the Proaktiv project, supported by Pestalozzi Children Foundation.

This course for non-formal education was a true challenge for all of us included in formal education, and I believe for the others as well. I think that in the future, parents too should be included in such courses along with groups of professors… TRIAGOLNIK is the link between the student (young person) – parent – professor (youth worker). Young people are eager to learn new things and we should give the best of us so we can teach them to make decisions on their own, to solve conflict situations without hurting the others, to respect and to be respected, to love and to be loved - Orhidea Dimovska, student on the course in Kavadarci

On 22nd of December, Monday, starting from 19 o'clock, in the South East European University in Skopje it was held the giving certificate ceremony for the first generation students on the Course for Basics in community youth work.
