This is a unique faculty where students will gain knowledge and skills through the implementation of non-formal education methods: individual work, work in pairs, group work, panel discussions, written work, self assessment, ice-breakers, team building activities, role plays and practice work, etc.

Non-formal education is an organized process of life long learning that opens possibilities for people to develop their own values, skills and competencies while making a balance with the ones gained in the frames of formal education.

Potential skills developed through non-formal education include: interpersonal skills, group work, organizational skills, conflict management, intercultural awareness, leadership, planning, coordination, discipline and responsibility.

FIRST AND UNIQUE

The Bachelor degree for Non-formal education and youth work will contribute to the recognition and acceptance of youth work as profession.
One of the benefits for Macedonia to have Community Youth Work as a profession is the breadth of skills that it can add to the existing services that work with children and young people. It is not something that can replace social services for example, but it can fill gaps where this profession does not have a mandate to go. Community Youth Work has the luxury to spend more time with the young people and work with them in their personal and social development. Community Youth Work works with all young people regardless if they have specific needs or not - Nicholas Paddison, leading tutor of the specialized program for Leadership and Developmental Community Youth Work and experienced youth worker.

FUTURE YOUTH WORKERS, you have the possibility to participate in the creation of the european future of the Republic of Macedonia.

The course that we are implementing and the youth workers that we are creating as a result of it, is of great importance to the euro-integrative processes that Republic of Macedonia is going through. We are moving the process of having non-formal education as complimentary to the formal education system a few steps further with the purpose of empowering personal and professional competencies of young people, students and adults in education.
